These mulches range from single ground to double ground to finer ground. Mulch is a more temporary landscaping choice, as exposure to the sun and weather can fade out the mulch. 

To reduce the amount of maintenance required, install a weed fabric or plastic underneath approximately 3” of mulch. With a depth of 3”, the mulch can be flipped, bringing back some color and extending the life of the mulch.
